DTEI Unveils New Collaborative Space with Grand Opening Celebration
The Division of Teaching Excellence and Innovation (DTEI) is ready to welcome the campus community to its newly renovated home on the third floor of the Anteater Instruction and Research Building. The grand opening celebration will take place on Monday, September 22, from 3:00-5:00 pm at the main entrance (3020 AIRB).
Enhanced Spaces for Campus Collaboration
The recent renovations have transformed DTEI’s floor into a hub designed specifically for faculty and graduate student collaboration. These new spaces are strategically designed to better support the campus community’s teaching and education research initiatives. Additionally, the renovation includes a dedicated recognition space honoring the Faculty Academy for Teaching Excellence (FATE) Fellows.
Leadership to Share Vision
Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor Hal Stern and Vice Provost for Teaching and Learning Michael Dennin will deliver opening remarks at 3:15 pm, highlighting the significance of this new collaborative environment. However, attendees are welcome to drop by any time during the two-hour celebration window.
Community Gathering
The event offers an opportunity for faculty, graduate students, and staff to connect with colleagues, learn more about DTEI’s services, and prepare for the upcoming quarter in a relaxed atmosphere complete with refreshments.
Those interested in attending are encouraged to RSVP for the grand opening celebration. The event represents DTEI’s continued commitment to supporting UC Irvine’s mission of creating an inclusive learning environment across campus.
