Workshop – Active Learning: How to create and use teaching activities for more interactive learning

Do you want to get your students more engaged in the classroom and enthusiastic about learning? This workshop will cover a range of active learning strategies that can be used to enhance the classroom environment, improve learning outcomes, and actively involve your students in interactive instructional practices. We will discuss the rationale supporting the implementation and effectiveness of active learning techniques, learn about several useful strategies, and practice applying the techniques. We will also cover how active learning can be integrated into online instruction to promote collaboration and active participation. Participants will leave this workshop with a new toolbox of innovative teaching strategies that will allow them to engage their students in interactive learning.
