Facilitators: Daniel Gardner, Pedagogical Fellow
Date, Time, and Location: Tuesday, November 6th from 9am-10:30am in AIRB 1030
This workshop will be oriented around the ways different disciplinary techniques and topics integrate with each other. Practicing the articulation and applicability of the subjects we teach beyond their most obvious contexts can help teachers find alternate paths to learning, and increase their ability to translate their discipline to students, colleagues, and others. This can be especially important for those of us who teach introductory or general education courses where students may come from a wide breadth of disciplines and backgrounds. Participants will engage with, and workshop teaching the topics, methods, and techniques of their discipline integrated with not only other disciplines and practice, but broader real-world scenarios and examples.
** This workshop partially meets the How People Learn requirement for the Certificate in Teaching Excellence.
